She was leader of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the"Fierce Five" in 2016 "Final Five,"" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. At the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she was awarded a gold medal in the team event which made her and teammates Gabby Douglas and Gabby Douglas the only Americans with back-to-back gold team medals. Raisman was awarded silver medals in the individual all-around and floor exercise. She is the third most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history, following Shannon Miller and Simone Biles who have won six Olympic medals.Raisman was also part of the gold-winning American teams at the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the bronze medalist in the world championships on floor exercise in the year 2011. She also is two-time champion at national level on floor exercise (2012 in 2012 and 2015) and the 2012 national champion on the balance beam, and five times medalist in the all-around event at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2011 and in 2015). Inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
