Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began with humorous rap tracks that dealt with issues of sexuality and race. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood following the release of a series of raps. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was Nora's first instrument. She also received the classical and jazz education later when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. While in college, she took classes in writing and women's studies. She even spent an hour studying Mandarin in Beijing. After graduating, she began to pursue music as her main focus. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included in her debut LP Yellow Ranger. The album also contained were other viral hits including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$1. The track that was second on the album linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, published in 2015, which was another idea. A musician and author was in her portfolio, she decided to determined to pursue acting in a third project. Apart from early series like Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
