A very successful artist still in her prime youth she has already sold more than the sum of 41 million album and over 150 million tracks around the world, making her one of the best-selling artists ever. Barbados was born in Barbados, she initially listened to reggae as she grew and then began singing for herself as in her teens. Unhappy with the chaos in her family and endless arguments with her parents she immersed herself in music and before long realized that she wanted to be a professional singer. As a teenager, she joined a musical band. Evan Rodgers auditioned her and was deeply impressed. She moved from the city of her birth to New York to start a professional singing career full-time.
